Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy has been drafted in accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy), Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) and the Guide on the use of cookies of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), updated in May 2024.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, tablet, mobile) when browsing them. They allow the user to be recognized, remember their preferences and improve the browsing experience.

2. Types of cookies by ownership

• First-party cookies: Sent and managed directly by HODEITEK SL from our own servers.
• Third-party cookies: Sent and managed by third parties outside HODEITEK SL (e.g., Google).

3. Types of cookies by purpose

• Technical or necessary cookies: Allow the user to browse the website and use essential functions (security, load balancing). They do not require consent.
• Analytical or measurement cookies: Allow the controller to analyze user behavior to improve the website. They require consent.
• Advertising and marketing cookies: Manage advertising spaces and measure campaign effectiveness. They require consent. Hodeitek does not currently use this type of cookies.

3.1. Specific purpose of Google Analytics 4

Hodeitek uses Google Analytics 4 exclusively for internal measurement: understanding which pages and content are viewed, detecting navigation issues, and prioritizing website improvements. Google Analytics 4 is not used for personalized advertising, is not combined with third-party advertising profiles, and is not shared with advertising networks. Identifiers are pseudonymized and the IP address is truncated.

4. Cookies used on hodeitek.com

4.0. Anti-bot verification (Cloudflare Turnstile, security service)

The Website's forms (contact, whitepaper download, event/webinar registration, newsletter, careers/talent pool, etc.) use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish human submissions from automated ones (spam, abuse) before processing them. Turnstile may set a cookie or use browser local storage for this sole purpose. This is a strictly necessary security cookie, not an advertising or marketing tracking cookie: it does not require consent under LSSI article 22.2 or the AEPD Guide. 4.3. Interactive demos (Storylane, third party, on demand only)

Some pages may include an interactive product demo served by Storylane (app.storylane.io). This demo is never loaded automatically: it is only inserted into the page when the user explicitly clicks the "View interactive demo" button. Doing so makes the browser connect directly to Storylane's servers, which may set their own cookies under its own policy. Hodeitek does not define or control the names, purposes or duration of those cookies; you can review them in Storylane's Privacy Policy.

5. Consent

On first access to the Website, a cookie banner will be displayed allowing the user to accept all, reject all or configure cookies granularly. Analytical cookies will not be activated until the user gives express consent.

The user can modify or withdraw consent at any time by accessing the "Cookie settings" link located in the footer.

5.1. What happens when you withdraw consent

If the user rejects analytical cookies or withdraws previously given consent, Google Analytics 4 stops firing on subsequent page loads: no new identifier is generated and no new measurement events are sent. Existing _ga, _ga_<container-id>, _gid and _gat cookies already stored in the browser stop being refreshed and expire according to the duration shown in the table above; the user can also delete them manually at any time from their browser settings (section 6). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

6. How to disable and delete cookies

The user can allow, block or delete cookies installed on their device by configuring the browser options, or specifically opt out of Google Analytics with its browser add-on:

7. International transfers

Google Analytics 4 analytical cookies may involve the transfer of data to the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, complemented by Hodeitek with Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) as an additional safeguard following the Schrems II ruling. 8. Data controller

The controller of the data collected through cookies is HODEITEK SL, with Tax ID B56478027 and address at Markole, Aretxabaleta, 20550, Gipuzkoa, Spain.

9. User rights

The user can exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, restriction and withdrawal of consent by sending an email to privacidad@hodeitek.com. They can also file a claim with the AEPD (www.aepd.es).

10. Policy updates and version history

HODEITEK SL may modify this Cookie Policy to adapt it to legislative or technological developments. We recommend reviewing it periodically; you can download the current version as a PDF using the button next to the update date at the top of this page.
